Edward graduated from Benson Idahosa University (BIU) with Second Class Upper Honours and was called to the Nigerian Bar in November 2018.
He participated creditably in, many national and international moot competitions, including Best Oralist (as Lead Counsel) at the November 2016 edition of the All African International Humanitarian Moot Court Competition held in Arusha, Tanzania where BIU represented Nigeria and came 4th.
Edward is currently undertaking his NYSC programme with LeLaw, starting January 2019. He has been involved with engagements spanning corporate and commercial practice including company secretarial work, and litigation. Prior to LeLaw, he had interned with reputable law firms like Templars Barristers & Solicitors, Olisa Agbakoba Legal (OAL), amongst others.
Edward’s LLB Thesis at BIU was titled ‘An Examination of Medically Assisted Reproductive Technology in Nigeria & Selected Jurisdictions’. He is currently working on several articles in his areas of interest; his LeLaw publication is ‘Legalities & Formalities: Review of Emechebe v. Ceto Int’l (Nig) Ltd  11 NWLR. (Pt.1631), 520 CA’ (March 2019).
At LeLaw, Edward is in the commercial litigation practice group & the corporate advisory, where he works on commercial disputes, appearances in courts, drafting of court processes, legal opinions and he is a member of the legal strategy team of the frim where he provides research. The team provides legal services to start-up firms and already standing firms.
