Denis Ogunbowale joined LeLaw Barristers & Solicitors as an Associate mid-September 2021. An enthusiastic researcher, writer and avid reader, he has a flair for corporate and commercial law, particularly tax law and finance law.Denis acquired his Bachelors of Law (LLB) degree with Second Class Upper Honours from Igbinedion University, Okada (IUO). His LLB thesis was on ‘Critical Analysis of Corroboration Under the Nigerian Law of Evidence’. He also passed the Nigerian Bar Finals with Second Class Honors after completing his one-year vocational training at the Nigerian Law School, Abuja Campus. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in September 2020.
He is a Google Certified Digital Marketer and has various finance related certifications from the Institute of Chartered Finance Analyst, Corporate Finance Institute, Duke University (USA), to mention a few. As an undergraduate, Denis undertook undergraduate internships with various law firms in Nigeria and the United Kingdom, garnering valuable transaction and litigation experience. During the same period, he won several academic and service awards conferred by the IUO Senate and the Law Student’s Association respectivelyHis published articles include: ‘The Nature of Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs) in Nigeria’ ‘Legal Opinion on What Court Has The Jurisdiction To Entertain Matters Relating To Retirement Gratuity, Salaries And Wages In Banking And Other Financial Institutions.’
His hobbies include playing the guitar, reading books on various subject matter and educating himself about political ideologies.
